Eau Claire (/oʊˈklɛər/; French: [o klɛʁ]) (French for "clear water") is a city mostly located in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, of which it is the county seat. It had a population of 69,421 in 2020, making it the state's eighth-largest city.
Eau Claire is at the confluence of the Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers. The city's early growth came from its extensive logging and timber industries. After Eau Claire's lumber industry declined in the early 20th century, the city's economy diversified to encompass manufacturing and Eau became an educational center with the opening of the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 1916.
Eau Claire is known regionally for its arts and music scenes and hosts multiple music festivals throughot the Summer. Eau Claire is the second fastest-growing major city in Wisconsin after Madison, with 5.4% population growth between 2010 and 2020.

Chippewa Falls is a city located on the Chippewa River in Chippewa County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 14,778 in the 2021 census.[6] Incorporated as a city in 1869, it is the county seat of Chippewa County.[7]
The city's name originated from its location on the Chippewa River, which is named after the Ojibwe Native Americans. Chippewa is an alternative rendition of Ojibwe.
Chippewa Falls is the birthplace of Seymour Cray, known as the "father of supercomputing", and the headquarters for the original Cray Research. It is also the home of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, the Heyde Center for the Arts, a showcase venue for artists and performers; Irvine Park, and the annual Northern Wisconsin State Fair. Chippewa Falls is 15 miles (24 km) from the annual four-day music festivals Country Fest and Rock Fest.

Menomonie (/məˈnɒməni/) is a city in and the county seat of Dunn County in the western part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city's population was 16,843 as of the 2020 census.
Named for the original inhabitants of the area, the Menominee, the city forms the core of the United States Census Bureau's Menomonie Micropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which includes all of Dunn County (2010 population: 43,857). The Menomonie MSA and the Eau Claire–Chippewa Falls metropolitan area to the east form the Census Bureau's Eau Claire-Menomonie Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The city center is at the south end of Lake Menomin, a reservoir on the Red Cedar River.
