My Marshall Favorites

Marshall is such a bright and amazing community. I am so grateful for the people I have met and connected with in this beautiful community. From the vibrant local shops and delicious restaurants to the serene outdoor spaces and fun family activities, Marshall truly has something for everyone. Whether you're a local resident or just visiting, there are countless hidden gems to explore. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly faces make every visit memorable. Here, I wanted to share some of my Marshall favorites for you all to try and take a look at!

Morning Coffee & Bagel Run

I always crave coffee! There's no better place to grab a delicious coffee and breakfast snack than Bagels and Brew or Mainstay. These two local coffee and breakfast shops are conveniently located, making them perfect for a quick stop or to sit and enjoy their ambiance.

Spend the Afternoon Outdoors

After you grab your morning coffee, it's time to spend some time outside. About 10 minutes southwest of Marshall is Camden State Park. Camden is a quiet and beautiful park where you can spend your time hiking, fishing, swimming, and camping. Camden is a great place to spend some time alone or to bring the whole family!

Time For Lunch!

Located on W. Main St. in downtown Marshall, Sabor Latin Kitchen is a local favorite for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious Mexican cuisine. Sabor offers a variety of options for Mexican food lovers like myself! I always order a steak quesadilla or the quesabirria tacos! The guacamole is also perfection!

Visit Shops in Downtown Marshall

Downtown Marshall offers a variety of shops, all within walking distance. Spend your afternoon exploring the hidden gems, each with its own unique aesthetic and options. These shops offer something for everyone in the family, from trendy fashion and natural skincare to unique home decor. A few of my favorites include Nessa's Naturals and Rustic Hideaway Boutique!

Dinner Time

Located on the southeast side of town, you will find the best barbecue that southwest Minnesota has to offer at The Hitching Post! The Hitching Post offers a variety of options, including kid's meals, salads, sandwiches, seafood, and amazing barbecue. I recommend the salmon if you enjoy seafood or the fall-off-the-bone ribs for barbecue!

Nightlife Activities

In downtown Marshall, you will find a variety of activities for all ages. A great place to take the whole family is Wings Axe Company (wingsaxecompany.com). Wings is perfect for bringing friends or family to enjoy good food and drinks while having a friendly axe-throwing competition. Another great option for families is AJ's Family Arcade (ajsfamilyarcade.net). AJ's offers a variety of activities for families, such as mini-golf, go-kart racing, and arcade games.
