Edina, Minn. – Sept. 20, 2016 – Stu Wood, an agent in the Alexandria office of Edina Realty, was named REALTOR® of the Year by the Greater Alexandria Area Association of REALTORS (GAAAR).
Wood was nominated as a result of his years of service through both GAAAR and the community, He has served on the GAAAR board of directors for the past three years and is also chair of GAAAR's Public Relations committee. A volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Wood has participated in "Realtor Ring" day, raising money for the Salvation Army over the holidays. He also serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the board of trustees of Mount Carmel Ministries.
Wood started selling real estate in early 2013 when he joined Edina Realty. Previously, he owned a butcher shop in Alexandria. He resides in Alexandria with his wife, Maggie.
