Sharry Schmid Named Sales Manager of Edina Realty's 6800 France Office


6800 France Ave. Office Houses More Than 160 Agents Who Help Edina Home Buyers, Sellers



Edina, Minn. – April 13, 2011 – Sharry Schmid, Edina Realty Lakeville office manager, has been appointed the new sales manager of Edina Realty's 6800 sales office.

The 6800 office, located at 6800 France Avenue in Edina, houses more than 160 agents who help home buyers and sellers in Edina as well as Minneapolis, Richfield, Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Hopkins, Minnetonka and St. Louis Park. Schmid will take over duties from John Shaw, who is retiring from sales office management to pursue new opportunities.

Schmid first joined Edina Realty in 1996 as the branch manager of the Edina Realty Title office in Rochester. In 2001, she became branch manager of Edina Realty Title in Burnsville, and in 2003 she was named vice president of the Builder Resource Group to serve the booming new construction industry. In 2008, Schmid took over as the broker/manager of Edina Realty's Lakeville sales office while still heading up the Builder Resource Group. Schmid will continue to lead the Builder Resource Group, while managing the 6800 sales office.

Schmid's knowledge of technology and real estate allow her to partner with agents to effectively analyze their business models to meet goals and focus their marketing efforts, according to Peltier. She is a member of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, the National Association of Home Builders, the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Schmid received a bachelor's degree with honors in political science from Mankato State University. She lives in Savage with her husband Tom and three sons.
