Edina, Minn. – Aug. 4, 2011 – Edina Realty opened a new sales office today in the historic building at 4100 Minnetonka Blvd. that previously housed the Lincoln Del.
The new, more centralized office houses 70 agents who moved from the Edina Realty City Lakes and Park West offices. The agents will be serving home buyers and sellers in Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, Southwest Minneapolis and the Minneapolis lakes area. "We have experts from Lake Nokomis to Lake Minnetonka," said Matt Loskota, sales manager of the new Minneapolis City Lakes office.
"Blending the agents from these two offices will no doubt bring about fresh energy," Loskota said. "This landmark site will be a great location from which to serve our clients. The building is contemporary in architecture, yet timeless in its interior design, featuring artwork and historical photos of the Minneapolis lakes."
The facility was updated to meet the needs of Edina Realty's agents and customers and included a 2,400-square-foot addition. Several adaptations were made to the historical structure, including new energy-efficient lighting, structural insulated panels for heating and cooling, water-saving fixtures, finishes that promote better indoor air quality, and a white roof to reduce the heat island effect. Exterior improvements included better access to the modified parking lot and low-impact native plantings.
The interior space was designed for efficient use of space. This is also the first Edina Realty office to employ Smart Board interactive technology. The conference room is equipped with a large-screen monitor that agents can use in training or to communicate with clients; they simply plug in their iPad or tablet at the table and presentations appear on the 6-foot wide screen, which can be written on with a finger. Notes from the board can later be e-mailed.
Matt Loskota, new sales manager of the Minneapolis City Lakes office, has been with Edina Realty since 2001. Sales manager for the downtown Minneapolis office since 2005, Loskota helped put Edina Realty's downtown location and agents on the map, according to Bob Peltier, president and CEO of Edina Realty Home Services. "Matt's marketing and networking skills helped bring in top notch agents; he is also highly skilled at helping agents develop and realize their long-term business strategies," Peltier said.
Edina Realty announced it would consolidate two of its offices and take occupancy of this building in April of this year. The Ackerberg Group served as developer and contractor, and architecture services were provided by LHB Corp.
