In 2002, the Phillips community was subdivided into four different neighborhoods: East Phillips, Midtown Phillips, Phillips West, and Ventura Village. Each neighborhood is home to people of many different ethnic backgrounds and has a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas. This area is home to the Midtown Global Market, which is a collection of more than 50 international vendors, offering the finest selection of grocery items, foods, and unique gifts from around the world. Along with local businesses, Phillips is also home to a number of large employers including: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Wells Fargo Mortgage, and Allina Health Care Services.
